Bigwood bites is about simply eating beautifully and being kind to ourselves

Bringing joy &

Inspiring us to make

Great bites…

A classic boiled egg and soldiers with a nice cup of earl grey tea, enjoyed on a sunny morning outside. A simple joy to pause in our busy lives.

The perfect boiled egg: Place a saucepan of water over a high heat and bring to the boil. Gently lower in your eggs carefully with a spoon. Simmer eggs for 6 minutes (6 1/2 minutes if extra large and 5 1/2 minutes. …..10 minutes (for hard, great for picnics by the river!).

Happiness starts from within!

Get dipping and enjoy ;0)

Fun fact

If up a mountain! …..cook egg for longer.

Why does food take longer to cook in the mountains?

As atmospheric pressure decreases, water boils at a lower temperature. Because water boils at a lower temperature at higher elevations, foods that are prepared by boiling or simmering will cook at a lower temperature, and it will take longer to cook.
