Raisin
The humble raisin
Have you ever done a mindful eating experiment.
Gather a raisin
Sit calmly, and take some slow deep belly breaths (say 5)
Hold the raisin in you finger an thumb and look at it
look at its shape, texture, bumps and shiny patches.
Put it in your mouth, feel the raisin on your tongue, pause and breath 5 more breaths
wait, taste the raisin, turn it over, feel its texture
Bite it and breath, let it explode with flavour, try to savour it as long as possible
Perhaps have a game with your family or friends who can make it last the longest!
The aim of the experiment is to calm it down, pause a little while eating and regain balance
